Preparing educators for the CBSE Computational Thinking & Artificial Intelligence Curriculum Framework. One-Day, 6-Hour workshops for teachers of Classes 3–8, delivered across India.
ComputationalThinking.in has been conducting teacher training programs, academic workshops, and competency-based learning initiatives across multiple schools since 2021, with a focus on Computational Thinking, Artificial Intelligence, problem-solving, and 21st-century skills education.
With the introduction of Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of the CBSE curriculum framework from the academic year 2026–27, schools are increasingly looking for structured support to prepare educators for effective classroom implementation.
In reference to the CBSE guidelines titled "District Level Deliberations on CT & AI (Workshop) – 2026" and the associated CBSE Training Notification No. TRG-02, we express our interest in conducting CT & AI Teacher Training Programs for schools and Sahodaya School Complexes.
Our proposed One-Day, 6-Hour CPD Workshop is designed for teachers of Classes 3–8 and focuses on practical, classroom-ready implementation strategies aligned with the CBSE CT & AI framework.
Aligned to CBSE's official notification for teacher preparation for the CT & AI curriculum framework introduced for the academic year 2026–27.
The training program comprehensively covers all CBSE-suggested sub-themes for the CT & AI workshop framework.
Understanding the four pillars of Computational Thinking and how they connect to Artificial Intelligence concepts at the school level.
Grade-appropriate, scaffolded pedagogical strategies to build CT skills progressively from concrete play-based activities to abstract thinking.
Connecting mathematical reasoning, pattern recognition, and logical thinking to Computational Thinking and AI foundations.
How Science, Social Studies, Language, and Arts teachers can meaningfully integrate CT into their subjects — with no computer science background needed.
Exploring how AI is used in everyday Indian contexts — healthcare, agriculture, transport, education — to make AI concepts tangible and relevant.
Assessment strategies for CT and AI skills: portfolio-based evaluation, observation rubrics, and performance tasks that go beyond multiple-choice tests.
Age-appropriate discussions on data privacy, algorithmic bias, misinformation, and responsible AI use for classroom teachers and students.
Designed for the Indian school context, by educators who have been doing this since 2021.
Every session is designed around the CBSE CT & AI framework sub-themes and classroom application guidelines.
No passive lectures. Teachers engage in the same activities they will use with their students — learning by doing.
Separate tracks for Classes 3–5 and 6–8 with age-appropriate classroom implementation strategies.
Access to a curated set of CT & AI teaching resources, activity packs, and classroom materials to take back and use immediately.
Official certificates of participation provided to all teacher attendees, suitable for CPD portfolios and school records.
Schools may invite nearby schools or Sahodaya partner schools to participate jointly and share costs.
A structured, practical, full-day professional development experience for teachers of Classes 3–8.
What is Computational Thinking? The four pillars — Decomposition, Pattern Recognition, Abstraction, Algorithmic Thinking — with Indian classroom examples. Introduction to AI: what it is, how it works, and what it is not.
Teachers experience CT activities from Science, Mathematics, Language, and Social Studies — grade-band separated for Classes 3–5 and 6–8. Emphasis on unplugged activities requiring no devices or internet.
Informal sharing and networking between teachers across schools.
Case studies of AI in Indian contexts — farming, healthcare, education, transport. Age-appropriate ethics discussions: data privacy, bias in algorithms, responsible AI use. Practical classroom strategies to discuss ethics with students.
How to assess CT & AI skills without formal tests. Portfolio-based assessment, observation rubrics, and performance tasks. Collaborative lesson planning: teachers design a CT-integrated lesson for their own subject and class.
Open Q&A, sharing of classroom implementation commitments, and distribution of participation certificates to all teachers.
Along with the workshop, we also support schools and educators in the following ways.
Helping teachers prepare and submit CT & AI-related academic papers and classroom projects for CBSE and other board requirements.
Reviewing and evaluating submitted papers with expert academic feedback aligned to CBSE CT & AI assessment criteria.
Providing practical, actionable academic feedback focused on real classroom implementation — not just theoretical compliance.
This workshop is designed for a range of schools and educators across India.
Schools implementing or planning to implement the CBSE CT & AI curriculum framework from 2026–27 onwards.
Sahodaya complexes planning collaborative teacher training initiatives across member schools — joint participation encouraged.
Teachers of any subject — Mathematics, Science, Language, Social Studies — seeking practical CT & AI classroom implementation strategies.
Schools looking to strengthen competency-based learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving approaches across all grades.
